A Physician Assistant who is a graduate of a PA program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA), or by one of its predecessor agencies, or who has passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE) administered by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Must be current members of both the AAPA and NCAPA and provide member numbers.
Affiliate members shall consist of individuals from other health professions, representatives of businesses engaged in selling products or services to PAs, or individuals who do not qualify for any other membership category and desire to associate with the Chapter. Affiliate members shall not be entitled to vote or hold office.
An Associate member shall be a PA of the same criteria as a fellow member (Section 3), but are not required to have an active NCAPA, or AAPA membership. Associate members will have current licensure with the North Carolina Medical Board. They are entitled to vote on matters at the Chapter Level.
A student member is an individual who is enrolled in an ARC-PA or other accredited PA program. Students shall not be entitled to vote, hold office, or serve under a committee without the approval of the current committee director and PA program administration. This is to ensure the student’s primary focus remains on academics.
A Partner member shall be a PA of the same criteria as a fellow member (Section 3), but are not required to have an active membership of the AAPA. Associate plus members will have current licensure with the North Carolina Medical Board and be a member of the NCAPA.
